What is a security nudge?
A security nudge is a short message sent at the moment a person makes, or is about to make, a risky choice, steering them toward a safer one. It might arrive in Slack or Teams after someone uploads sensitive data to a personal account, or after they report a phish.
How it works
Nudges borrow from behavioral science: a reminder delivered in context changes behavior more than the same lesson delivered months earlier. They work best when they are brief, specific and respectful.
Nudges also reinforce good behavior. A thank-you for reporting a real phish makes reporting more likely next time.
Why it matters
Nudges reach people in the tools they already use, at the moment the lesson is relevant, and cost them seconds instead of an hour of training.
How Living Security helps
Living Security playbooks send nudges, thank-yous and manager notices through Slack, Teams and email when a signal fires, and your team approves what runs.
