When you create a campaign, you can choose between a Dynamic or Static audience.
If you select Static, only the members in the audience at the time of launch will receive the campaign. Any changes to the audience won't impact the launched campaign.
On the other hand, if you choose Dynamic, any new users added to the audience associated with the campaign will be enrolled in the campaign.
- If your campaign is structured with Relative Dates, newly added users will start on Day 1 and receive assignments immediately.
- If your campaign is structured with Static Dates, newly added users will receive assignments on the day scheduled. If they are added on the same date that has assignments, they will receive those assignments immediately.
⛔ Please note these details when removing users from an audience tied to a live campaign:
- If you remove a user from an audience tied to a static campaign, the user will still be enrolled in the campaign. Static campaigns no longer interact with the audience.
- If you remove a user from an audience tied to a dynamic campaign, the user will not receive future assignments from all associated campaigns. Dynamic campaigns continue to interact with the audience.
- If you add an exception to Always Deny a user from an audience tied to a dynamic campaign, the user will be removed from all associated campaigns as if they were never in it including completion data.
