Just-in-Time or JiT Provisioning is a method for automating user creation and updates in the Living Security Platform. It uses the SAML protocol to pass user information from your identity provider to our application.
Because JiT provisioning uses the SAML protocol, an active Single Sign-On (SSO) connection should be configured first. If you have not yet done so, refer to the Getting Started: SAML SSO article.
1. Assign Attributes within your Identity Management service so that values can be passed correctly between your IDP and Living Security Applications
For Just-in-Time provisioning to correctly create and update a user profile, there are some attribute schemas(a path to a specific value for the service to pull) that must be applied in your IDP service.
Step 3: Enable Just-in-Time Provisioning in your IDP and in your Living Security Application
The last step to perform is to enable Just-in-Time provisioning in your Identity Provider service, and within the Living Security application itself. We highly recommend that you be logged into the administrator portion of both environments so that there is no delay or issue in enabling this functionality.
