Unify - Recommendations

Unify Recommendations empower Human Risk Managers by surfacing the most actionable insights for your organization. Found conveniently on the Home page and within individual Insight views, Recommendations help you focus on key areas of risk or vigilance that impact your organization's Human Risk Index (HRI).

By leveraging Unify’s Human Risk Model, Recommendations highlight key insights and help you act quickly and effectively to mitigate risk.

How Recommendations Work

What Generates a Recommendation? Recommendations are created using our Human Risk Model, which considers three factors of risk:

  • User Behaviors: Risky or vigilant actions performed by users.
  • External Threats: Threats targeting individuals within your organization.
  • Role or Access: The impact of user roles and access levels on overall risk.

Each Recommendation highlights:

  • A specific cohort of users: A specific segment of group of users with an impact modifier.
  • A specific insight signifying risk or vigilance for the cohort of users.
  • The difference between the selected cohort and the organizational baseline.
  • A specific period of time, for which the insight has been observed.

How Are Recommendations Ranked? Recommendations are prioritized to ensure you focus on the most impactful and actionable insights. Rankings are based on:

  • Relevance to Audience: Prioritizing insights that directly relate to your users or organization.
  • Impact: Emphasizing insights with significant implications for risk mitigation.
  • Audience Size: Balancing potential interventions to ensure they are both scalable and effective.
  • Diversity and Stability: Offering a variety of recommendations that remain actionable without overwhelming you with frequent changes.

Example Recommendation:

  • “80% of Finance Department (13 identities) had detections for Phish Clicked, significantly higher than the organization baseline in the last 30 days.”

Where to Find Recommendations

  • Home Page: Recommendations are prominently displayed as soon as you log into Unify.
  • Individual Insights: For deeper exploration, you can view Recommendations tied to specific insights. For example, click into the Phish Targeted insight to see recommendations for cohorts affected by phishing threats.

How to Use Recommendations

  1. Viewing a Recommendation Click ‘View’ on a Recommendation to see the details and trend of the insight for the highlighted cohort. This opens a filtered insight view specific to that group, making it easy to understand the context and risks.
  2. Taking Action From the insight view, you can:
  • Click ‘Create Action Plan’ to address the surfaced risk directly.
  • Send nudges or assign training to the users within the cohort to mitigate the identified risks.
  1. Refining the View If needed, click ‘Edit Filters’ to further drill into the cohort or explore related insight details.
