Unify - Lenses

An Overview of Lenses

📚 Overview

Lenses allow administrators to create a filtered view of Unify based on identities that meet specific criteria. Lenses can be built based on any combination of segment, risk level, insight, and impact modifier, enabling you to easily view key business priorities. Lenses can also be used as a role-based access mechanism. By assigning a lens to a user with a Limited Admin role they can view only that Lens within Unify, not the entire scope of the platform. A lens will apply to the entire Unify Platform, and as you navigate between sections it will display tailored data based on the lens criteria.

❓ How do I create a Lens?

The below video walks through creating a Lens. You can create a Lens using any combination of the following as filters:

  • Segment(s)
  • Risk level(s)
  • Insight(s)
  • Impact Modifier(s)

You can find all your created lenses on the top ribbon of your dashboard and easily toggle between them.

🗒️ You can specify more than one filter group by simply clicking the Add filter group button. There is currently no limit to how many filter groups can be applied.

You can get a quick view of what makes up a lens by hovering over the lens in the lens header. Clicking on the lens you are hovering over will apply it.

🔐How do I assign a Limited Admin to a Lens?

The following steps can be followed to set someone as a Limited Admin in Unify and assign them to a Lens.

  1. Create the Lens needed based on your desired filters. Instructions on creating a Lens can be found above.
  2. In Training User Management find the user in question and set their access to Unify Limited Admin - find more instructions on this process here!
  3. Switch from Training to Unify, open the Settings page, and open the Users tab. A full Unify admin will be labeled as Admin while those with access limited to a specific Lens will show as Limited Admin in the Role column.
  4. Assign the desired Lens to the Limited Admin in question.

Note: A Limited Admin can only have a single Lens assigned to them. If someone needs access to multiple Lenses they must be a full Unify admin.

The below video walks through this process. In this instance, Stan Lee needs to be granted access to the Executive Lens.
