Unify - Glossary of Terms
Human Risk Index (HRI) - Probable score out of 1000 indicating level of risk, available at Organization, Segment, or Individual level.
Risk Level - Categories of the Human Risk Index: High Risk (1-200), Somewhat Risky (201-400), Neutral (401-600), Somewhat Vigilant (601-800), High Vigilance (801-1000) available at Organizational, Segment, and Individual level.
Business Risk - Human-related security event and/or activity that has the potential of impacting the business, including finance, operations, reputation, or regulation.
Insight - Behavior(s) and/or event(s) that identify the risky or vigilant state of a user across various security categories, including authentication and access, data security and privacy, device security, phishing and email, security awareness and training, and web security.
Behavior - A type of Insight referring to an individual activity that contributes to the risky or vigilant state of a user.
Event - A type of Insight referring to a non-user or system-generated activity that contributes context to the risky or vigilant state of a user.
Power Insight - A grouping of two or more Behaviors & Events that share a common risk or theme.
Identity - A corporate entity that represents an end user or acts on behalf one.
- Active Identity - One that is 1) fed into Unify from your specified Source of Truth and 2) has had a behavioral activity occur within the last 30 days.
- Resolved Identity - One that has been aligned with one or more Events.
- Verified Identity - One that is fed into Unify from your designated Source of Truth.
Segment - Portion of a company or organization, such as department, office location, or division.
Lens - A filtered view of data based upon your specified criteria. Lenses can be built on combinations of Segment, Risk Level, Insight, and Impact Modifier.
HRI Impact - A measurement of the maximum impact a singular behavior or threat can have on a user's overall HRI, giving a relative severity of risk to each individual insight that is present for the identity or group.
Impact Modifier - Setting that allows for role-based inherent risks, such an executive status or elevated access, to be applied with an adjusted weighting for specific attributes.
Action Plan - A point-in-time snapshot of risk across a group of identities used to measure change in behavior and risk before/after an action was taken to engage the identities (ex: training launched, communication sent, simulation launched, etc.)
Workflow Orchestration - A series of predefined actions that are automatically initiated when specific conditions are met, eliminating the need for you to manually intervene each time.
- Triggers: The conditions that need to be met for the workflow to start.
- Subjects: The identities (such as individual users or groups) that the workflow applies to.
- Actions: The tasks that will be executed when the trigger conditions are met
