Remove Outlook's Built-in Report Button


To remove the built-in report button in Outlook, navigate to Microsoft Defender > Settings > Email & collaboration > User reported settings (or click this link).

  • Uncheck the box next to Monitor reported messages in Outlook and Monitor reported messages in Microsoft Teams

  • Select Use the built-in Reporter button in Outlook

  • Click Save


Remove Microsoft's Report Message Add-in

To remove Microsoft's Report Message add-in, navigate to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Settings > Integrated apps. If the Report Message add-in is present, open the add-in and click Remove app.
