Requirements

A platform or organization administrator is needed to generate an organization key. You will need to copy the key immediately after you generate it. You will not be able to retrieve the key again after you navigate away from it.

🔒Granting Access:

  1. Log in to your Insight account.
  2. After you’ve logged in, go to the “API Keys” page.
  3. From the “API Keys” page, go to the “Organization Keys” tab and click the New Organization Key button.
  4. When the “Generate New Organization Key” panel appears, select an organization and provide a name for the key.
  5. Generate the key. A new window opens and displays the generated key.
  6. Copy the key. You will not be able to view it again after you close the window.

✅ Permissions

⚠️ Due to the nature of Rapid 7's credential generation process, the API credentials will have the same level of read/write access of a Platform Administrator.

Though Unify Insights only performs read actions via the API, please confirm that the limitation of access control is not in conflict with any compliance or IT policies.
