Cyber Intelligence Analyst

We are looking for a driven intelligence analyst who can make sense of a large data set or a given threat landscape, turn it into actionable insight and develop compelling content. The ideal candidate will understand the intersection of intelligence and security awareness and understand that there is value in creating material for end users that helps train for the next threat, not the last one. You will have the opportunity to establish intelligence collection activities, help grow an intelligence team from the inside-out and influence security outcomes among amazing clients. This position will begin as a remote, fractional-to-hire position with the potential to become a full-time position, preferably with the ability to relocate to Austin, TX.  

Who you are…possessing the ability to:

  • Collect information according to given intelligence collection requirements

  • Perform basic open-source intelligence (OSINT) research on emerging threats or vulnerabilities

  • Write concise analytical products, assessments, white papers and customer reports according to given production requirements

  • Develop content that aligns with Living Security style and formatting production requirements

  • Maintain ownership of cases opened for customers including updating cases, communicating with the customer and documenting resolution

  • Communicate foundational and intermediate security findings to audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge.

  • Assist senior threat analysts during investigations

  • High standard of excellence, professionalism and a passion for customer service and satisfaction

Desired Qualifications:

  • Sec+ or willingness to obtain sec+ (or similar certification) within 6 months of employment

  • 2-4 years relevant experience in intelligence, technology, cyber-security is desired

  • Strong technical writing background

  • Proficiency with content writing, editorial review and deadlines associated with content production familiarity with report writing and news-writing

  • Knowledge of threat intelligence tradecraft and structured analytic techniques or willingness to learn

  • Knowledge and interest in policy issues, market trends, current events and security risks that may impact commercial enterprises.

  • Bonus but not required is proficiency in a second language such as Hindi, Spanish, Arabic, French, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, Japanese or Brazilian Portuguese.
